  Graduate of National College of Arts, Lahore 1967, and at present Assistant Professor at the institution. Solo exhibitions: Karachi 1969, 1986-1988, 1992, 1996; Lahore 1984, 1985, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1994; Islamabad 1991. Group shows: Lahore 1982, 1983, 1985-1989, 1991, 1997; Fakuoka, Japan 1989; South Pacific Museum America 1994. Inspired by decorative and varied elements of the Lahore Fort, Askari has re-composed them to resurrect the luxury and pomp of Mughal life, the majesty and grandeur of its architecture.
