  M.A. fine arts, Punjab University, Lahore. At present curator, paintings section, Lahore Museum, Lahore. Studied painting and miniatures at Smithsonian Institution Washington DC; Fogg Art Museum & Boston Museum, Boston; Victoria Albert Museum, British Museum, London; attended national and International seminars; written papers on Bengal School of Art, Kangra paintings, Mirat-Ul-Qudus, (The Mirror of Holiness), Chughtai; delivered lectures on museology; participated in several painting exhibitions.
Chowk Wazir Khan, 1982
This Chowk, Square, with many shops built into the outer wall of the Wazir Khan's Mosque, was known for traditional arts and crafts such as calligraphy, book-binding, woven cloth and embroidered caps. Now more modern needs are prominently catered to.
